Mission
The Waterfront Playhouse is a not-for-profit, professional theater that presents stimulating, entertaining and thought-provoking theater for our diverse community of local citizens, seasonal residents and large tourist population. We use live theater to celebrate the common humanity that unites us and bring to life the official motto of Key West – “One Human Family.”
The goal of the Waterfront Playhouse is to build upon the rich legacy of theater in Key West, which has included such luminaries as Tennessee Williams, James Kirkwood and Terrence McNally, and to entrench live theater into the veritable fabric of Key West culture.
