Weekly winners will be announced every Monday.  The grand prize winner will be announced at our 75th Anniversary Reception at The Custom House in Key West on December 14 (although you don’t need to be present to win).

Good luck — even if you didn’t enter last week, there is still plenty of time to win free tickets!

ANSWER TO WEEK #2
Well, we’ve got egg on our face on this one.  Local newspaper articles have indicated that the USS Gilmore was docked in Key West and used as a stage for Waterfront Playhouse productions during WWII.  Official records, however, indicate that the USS Gilmore did not dock in Key West until 1946, after which it stayed for many years.  So the correct answer is “Korean War” — but given the error on our website, we’ll accept either “WWII” or “Korean War” as a winning answer.

Congratulations to Trumpet Bob of Key West who was selected at random from the multiple winning entries.  His answer was “Korean War” and, in fact, Bob is a Korean War Veteran.

Question #2:  In what war was the USS Gilmore docked in Key West and used as a venue for Waterfront Playhouse productions?

Answer:  Korean War
