10 Days — 10 Different Events — Plus the World Premiere Mystery Play Home Exchange
Key West Mystery Fest is a 10-day festival of mysteries and mystery-related events sponsored by The Waterfront Playhouse and will be held in Key West, FL from May 4 to 13, 2012.
The highlight of the festival will be the world premiere of Home Exchange, a mystery written by Hy Conrad, Key West resident and author of many mysteries as well as writer/producer of the TV shows Monk and White Collar. “Crime Scene Photographer” (May 4, 2012) — An evening of solve-it-yourself short mystery plays
“Mysterious Meet & Greet” (May 5, 2012) — Meet other mystery fans from around the world
“Clue: The Dinner” (May 6, 2012) — A progressive dinner based on the classic board game
“Classic Mystery Movie Night at The Tropic” (May 7, 2012) — A class mystery movie hosted by a local Key West mystery writer
“Behind the Scenes: Mystery Edition” (May 8, 2012) — Go behind the scenes of the world premiere of Home Exchange with the writer, director, set designer and cast
“Monk Night at the Tropic” (May 10, 2012) — Meet Andy Breckman (creator of Monk) and Hy Conrad (writer/producer of Monk) and hear how the Emmy-Award winning show was created
“Mystery Writers’ Panel Discussion” (May 11, 2012) — Meet six mystery writers and hear about what it takes to be a successful writer in the mystery genre
“Home Exchange Talk-Back” (May 12, 2012) — After the performance, meet the author, director, designers and actors from the world premiere production of Home Exchange (To attend the “Talk-Back,” please purchase Home Exchange tickets for May 12, 2012)
“Mystery Short Story Contest Brunch” (May 13, 2012) — Winners of the Key West Citizen’s Mystery Short Story Contest will be announced.
