The Waterfront Playhouse proudly presents Denis Hyland in “Dancin’ Man,” a one night solo concert on January 20th at 8 pm. Denis is what’s known in show biz as the consummate “triple threat” – he is an accomplished singer, dancer and Equity actor. All of these talents will be on display during “Dancin’ Man. A post-show reception will be held in the Sculpture Garden in front of the theater and sponsored by Nikki McCausland.
Denis is a popular performer who has performed on all of the stages of Key West. At the Waterfront Playhouse he played Jack, the enigmatic villain in “Reefer Madness,” he played Nugget, the lead horse in “Equus” and appeared in “Pippin.” At the Barn he was in “My Way” and “The Rocky Horror Show.” Last season he performed a sold-out concert at the Studios of Key West. He is perhaps best known as a brilliant dancer, having performed with Paradise Ballet, the Key West Contemporary Dance Company and in Joyce Stahl’s “Key West Nutcracker.” He has also performed with Island Opera and the Key West Pops. He also has performed with professional dance companies all over the world, as well as an international tour of “West Side Story.”
