Michael McCabe

Actor/Singer

Michael McCabe has been a fixture on Key West stages since he first moved to the island in 2003. Prior to his living in a tropical paradise he roamed the mainland from Seattle to Naples, Florida. He received his B.A. in Music from Washington College in 1990, and promptly set about utilizing his skills by joining the United States Marine Corps. His regional shows include such roles as Jerry in The Full Monty, Juror #4 in Twelve Angry Men, Father in Ragtime; Sheriff Ed Dodd in Best Little Whorehouse, Lt. Joe Cable in South Pacific; Neville in Secret Garden; Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet. Locally he has been seen as the Sheriff/Pan in Bat Boy, the Musical, Pippin, in Pippin, Young Ben in Follies, and Mitch Albom in Tuesdays with Morrie, among others. Last year he also produced and performed in his first cabaret, at The Red Barn, with friends Terri White, Traci Reynolds and Charlie Lindberg, to much acclaim. This summer he produced another set of cabarets for the Ralph for King of Fantasy Fest campaign. He resides in Key West year round, and fills his time writing, singing at benefits, soloing in various concerts, and may be seen occasionally entertaining at The Keys Piano Bar. As always, his performances are dedicated to his family, and especially his royal RG!
