For one performance only, the historic Waterfront Playhouse on Mallory Square will present the fifth and final installment of Trunk Material Sunday March 31 at 8pm. Tickets may be purchased by visiting www.waterfrontplayhouse.org or by calling 305-294-5015.
Trunk Material is a musical review that was created 5 years ago by Tom Thayer, Managing Artistic Director of the Waterfront Playhouse. Performers who have graced the stage during the past season have been invited to pull a song from their “trunk of material” to perform for the evening. The show has also been a vehicle for announcing the upcoming season!
This season, Tom Thayer, Managing Artistic Director of the Waterfront Playhouse will pass the leadership of the theatre to current Associate Artistic Director Patrick New who will unveil the Waterfront Playhouse’s 86th Season!
Included in the line-up are: Dave Bootle, Jillian Todd, Barbara Mundy, John McDonald, Ray West, Jessica Miano, Jim Speake, Dominic Paolillo, John Swann, Lauren Thompson, Mariah Woesner with special guest Libby York and Aqua Idol winner Joe Tripp.

"With the theatre located On The Edge of the water as well as most productions chosen and designed to be performed On The Edge of the stage, it seemed like a winning title", said Managing Artistic Director Tom Thayer. Although a few productions, such as the upcoming musical The Rocky Horror Show will have more production value, the majority of productions, such as Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, The Informer, Bash, and Trunk Material 2 are created and designed to be performed simply.
Another difference in On The Edge productions is the time.
