The Waterfront Playhouse on Mallory Square will hold auditions for its 85th Anniversary Season as well as Youth Theatre production on Sunday May 7. Auditions will be held at the theatre.
Auditions for Charlotte’s Web, our youth theatre production, will be at 1:00. Children 9-18 may audition. You do not need to prepare anything, auditionees will read from the script. This is a non-musical, so auditionees do not need to sing. Charlotte’s Web will be performed June 16 and 17.
Beginning at 2:00, auditions for the 85th Season will begin. Please prepare a short monologue and 16 bars of a song. A dance audition will follow.
Show and roles open are:
Rocky Horror Show — Production is cast
Little Shop of Horrors — Voice of Audrey II, one urchin (must sing)
Singin’ In The Rain — Mature male as well as male and female ensemble members (must sing and move well)
Murder on the Orient Express — Some male and female roles are open
Lost in Yonkers — Some male and female roles are open
In addition, the Waterfront is looking for people interested in stage managing and working tech for the various shows. If you are interested, please come to auditions and fill out information form.

The Award winning Waterfront Playhouse on Mallory Square, is please to announce their On The Edge series. "With the theatre located On The Edge of the water as well as most productions chosen and designed to be performed On The Edge of the stage, it seemed like a winning title", said Managing Artistic Director Tom Thayer. Although a few productions, such as the upcoming musical The Rocky Horror Show will have more production value, the majority of productions, such as Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, The Informer, Bash, and Trunk Material 2 are created and designed to be performed simply.
Another difference in On The Edge productions is the time.
