Actor

Lora Nicolas made her debut at the Waterfront Playhouse in the 2016/17 Season in Avenue Q, directed by Danny Weathers.

Her favorite roles include Kim in Miss Saigon (2014 BroadwayWorld Denver Best Actress), Anita in West Side Story, Joanne in Rent, Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Meg in Little Women, Marcy Park in Spelling Bee. She originated the role of Spider in James & the Giant Peach (national tour), and Hannah in StinkyKids, recipient of the 2012 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Family Musical. She has worked alongside Tony Award winners Lea Salonga (in Boublil & Schonberg’s Do You Hear the People Sing?) and Ruthie Ann Miles (in the Off-Broadway workshop of Here Lies Love, directed by Tony-nominee Alex Timbers). She played opposite The Color Purple’s Isaiah Johnson in the first workshop of Reginald: From Baltimore to Billionaire, as Loida Lewis–wife of the first African-American billionaire, Reginald Lewis–a role she will be reprising in May. She is also currently playing the lead in a new web series, Cocina de Soul.
