Melanie Keller

Melanie Keller is delighted to be back at the Waterfront Playhouse where she just directed What the Constitution Means to Me. She first appeared in Sex with Strangers, returned as Olga the maid in The Angel Next Door, and she is so happy to be back for Almost, Maine. An actor and director from Chicago, Melanie’s regional acting work includes seasons at the Stratford Festival of Canada, Lakeside Shakespeare, and Michigan Shakespeare, plus productions at Peninsula Players and Storefront Theatre of Indianapolis. Chicago credits include Goodman Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare, Shakespeare Project, Northlight and Oak Park Festival. She was the Associate Artistic Director at First Folio Theatre, where she directed seven plays and acted in 14 productions. She was also a member of Signal Ensemble for 15 years where credits include East of Berlin and The Russian Play (Jeff Award Best Actress) and The Weir (Jeff Nomination Best Supporting Actress) and directing the Jeff Nominated production of The Drowning Girls. She spent this past summer directing Murder for Two in a co-production with Cortland Repertory Theatre in New York and Portland Stage in Maine. Film and television credits include Dark Matter, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Curse of the Sin Eater and UberEx.
