Michael Boyer

Resident Set Designer, Technical Director

Michael Boyer is the Technical Director and Scenic Designer for The Waterfront Playhouse.  His most recent designs have been Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Lend Me A Tenor, Glengarry Glen Ross, Twelve Angry Men, The Full Monty, Stepping Out, Regrets Only, Doubt, Reefer Madness, BitchSlap!, The Best Man, Urinetown, the Musical, Educating Rita, Carl Hiaasen’s Lucky You, Dinner With Friends, The Glass Menagerie, Lettice & Lovage, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, and Equus for the Waterfront and La Traviata for Island Opera at TWT.  He also created the sets for Joyce Stahl’s production of The Nutcracker.  He was TD and designer for the Tennessee Williams Fine Arts Center for over 14 years, as well as an instructor with FKCC.  Some of his sets at TWT have included La Cage aux Folles, Rumors, Forum, South Pacific, Talley’s Folly, Die Fleidermaus and Fiddler On The Roof. Also at the Waterfront, he has designed The Fifth of July, The Mystery of Irma Vep and Lips Together, Teeth Apart. Michael is a member of Local USA 828, United Scenic Artists, the union of set designers.
