Roberta Jacyshyn

Music Director

Roberta Jacyshyn first visited Key West in 1996 and retired here in 2013 from Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston and her Master of Music degree from the University of Miami in Florida. She has been a chamber musician, dance accompanist, pit musician, arranger, and conductor. By day in Colorado, she was a middle school music teacher and at night, a musical theater director. Her 35-year career spanned all genres of musical theater. Favorites: Chicago, Cabaret, Anything Goes, West Side Story, Into The Woods, Assassins, Gypsy, and Sweeney Todd. She received the prestigious Denver Post Ovation Award for music direction of Into The Woods and Sweeney Todd. She and her husband, woodwind specialist Mark Rose, enjoy tropical life and music-making. Much gratitude.
